Quebec offers health insurance under the Health Insurance Plan, managed by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ). Newcomers are eligible for health insurance three months after making Quebec their home. To apply, follow and answer the questions on the official Health Insurance Registration form:

You must include:

1. Proof of permanent residency (permanent resident card or confirmation of permanent residence)

2. The Québec Selection Certificate (CSQ)

3. Proof of residency in Québec

4. You must physically reside in Québec 183 days out of the calendar year and you are required to report all absences from the province to the government
